An open-source keyboard launcher built the Unix way: fzf does the finding, libghostty does the drawing, and every extension is a program that prints lines.

Apps, files, quicklinks, emoji, snippets, notes, tasks and window moves, filtered as you type. Enter does the obvious thing; ctrl-k on any row opens what else it can do. Read more

Tab asks the AI you name: a local model, a hosted one, or any command that reads a question and prints an answer. The answer stays in the panel. Read more
Extensions are programs
- clock list
An extension is a program that prints lines: an id, a kind, an icon, a title and a subtitle, separated by tabs. A shell script is enough. No manifest, no registration, no restart. Read more

Get running

Install it
brew install beatzball/tap/swoop, on a Mac or on Linux. No Homebrew: the curl line in Getting Started needs nothing else.

Start the panel
brew services start swoop, on a Mac. It comes back at every login.

Press alt+shift+space
Type a few letters, press Enter. On Linux, and in any terminal, run swoop.
